Every Page is the earthy part of its element, the point where the suit first takes a physical, touchable form, and the Page of Wands is fire becoming something you can hold: an idea turning into a first attempt. Pages rule a quarter of the zodiac rather than a span of degrees, and this one's quarter is Cancer, Leo and Virgo, centred on Leo. The lion's warmth and appetite for being seen sits at its heart, with a little of Cancer's feeling on one side and Virgo's curiosity about how things work on the other. In human form, the Page is the enthusiastic beginner, of any gender and young in spirit if not in years: curious, confident, full of ideas and not yet sure which ones will last. The student who wants to try everything, the new hire who volunteers for the difficult project, the child who announces a plan to become an astronaut on Monday and a chef on Tuesday. As a situation, the Page brings news and invitations, especially about creative work, travel or a new direction, and the first stirrings of a passion worth following. The energy is fresh and untested. It needs encouragement more than criticism, and some structure to give it shape.
Flirtation, playful attraction, the excitement of something new. A message from somebody interested, or a relationship that feels light and fun. It favours spontaneity and warns only against mistaking a spark for a commitment before either of you knows what you want.
A new idea or opportunity, a course, an apprenticeship, the first steps in a creative field. Good news about work, often an invitation to try something different. Enthusiasm is your advantage now; pair it with a willingness to learn and it will take you further than experience alone.
A small opportunity with potential, or an idea for earning money that is still at the exploring stage. Test it before you invest heavily.
Yes. The energy is new and promising, and worth exploring with an open mind.
Excited, curious, attracted. Somebody who finds you interesting and fun, and who is enjoying discovering you without thinking too far ahead.
Exploring, trying, announcing. Sending the enthusiastic message, signing up for the class, starting the side project, saying yes to an adventure.
Follow your curiosity. You do not need to know where this leads yet; you need to take the first playful step and see what happens. Keep a notebook for your ideas, and let the promising ones show you which way to go.
Enthusiasm without direction. Ideas that never get past the first excited conversation, plans announced and then dropped, restlessness that jumps from one new thing to the next without finishing anything. The fire is real, but it has no earth to hold it, which is precisely what the Page is supposed to supply. Read as someone in your life, the reversed Page can be immature, impatient, attention-seeking or unreliable: charming and full of promises that rarely arrive. It can also describe creative block, the frustration of wanting to start something and not knowing what, or discouragement after an early attempt fell flat. News may be delayed or disappointing. What it wants is patience and a little discipline, not less enthusiasm: the fire is worth keeping, and it needs a hearth.
Flirting without follow-through, mixed messages, immaturity. Somebody enjoying the chase more than the relationship, and losing interest the moment it asks anything of them.
Ideas without action, projects abandoned early, impatience with the slow parts of learning. Delayed news about a job, or a course started with excitement and quietly dropped by the third week.
Impulsive spending on new enthusiasms, or a money-making idea that has not been thought through. Equipment bought for a hobby that lasted a month.
No, not yet. The idea needs more grounding before it is ready.
Restless, unsure, easily bored. Somebody attracted in the moment but not yet ready for anything serious.
Starting and stopping, procrastinating, showing off. Chasing the next new thing.
Choose one idea and give it a fair chance. Enthusiasm starts things; only some patience finishes them.
