What do commoners plead in court?

What is Judge Bao Decides?

A tiny courtroom where Judge Bao settles your yes-or-no dilemma. Plead your case in a sentence, he pulls a wooden tag, slams it on the desk and rules, no beating about the bush. Free, just for fun.

How do I play?

Four steps, in order:

  1. Sign in (it's free).
  2. Type your case if you like, up to 120 characters. Leaving it blank is fine.
  3. Keep your finger on the court gavel for about a second and a half, until the ring is full.
  4. Judge Bao rules, and you kneel and listen.
What do the six verdicts mean?

Whichever tag he throws, it is one of these six:

  • Approved: Good. Go ahead.
  • Denied: Bad idea. Don't.
  • Adjourned: Not yet. Wait a little.
  • Summon a witness: Ask someone you trust.
  • Ask yourself: Think it over, look within.
  • Dismissed: Forget it. Not worth the worry.
How many cases a day?

Three a day per person, counted in Vietnam time. After that the court rests; come back after midnight and he rules again.

Is the ruling right?

Don't take him to court over it. The tag is random and the judge is only acting. For anything serious (health, money, legal trouble), ask someone who actually knows.

Does the court keep a record of my plea?

Yes, if you plead. It is saved with the verdict, and when you reopen the court today you will see it again. Nobody grades it or laughs at you.
