Mars in Capricorn, holding the goat's central decan. Mars is exalted in Capricorn, among the more revealing placements in the zodiac: raw energy and drive, set down in the sign of discipline and long-term ambition, become effort that is controlled, skilled and aimed at something lasting. This is not Mars the fighter. It is Mars the builder, the craftsman who works hard and works well because the result will be standing long after the work is done. At three, a first effort yields something, and for pentacles what it yields is quality work recognised by others. Teamwork, craftsmanship and collaboration.
