Venus in Scorpio, filling out the scorpion's final decan. Venus is uncomfortable in Scorpio, across the zodiac from her own Taurus, and the discomfort explains the card. In Taurus, Venus wants what is real and can be touched; in Scorpio, desire goes underground and becomes fantasy, obsession, longing for what cannot quite be reached. The seventh card of each suit tests what the sixth achieved, and in this watery suit the test comes through temptation and illusion. Choices, fantasies and wishful thinking. Many options seem to be on offer, each more appealing than the last, and some of them are not what they appear. The card describes a mind full of possibilities and daydreams, so absorbed in imagining that it never gets round to choosing or acting.
