The Moon in Aquarius, closing the water bearer's span. The Moon is private instinct, the reflex that acts to protect ourselves before we have thought about it; Aquarius is the most detached of the signs, cool, independent, unconcerned with what the group expects. Put instinct into detachment and you get somebody acting alone, quietly, by their own rules, and not necessarily telling anyone. Seven tests what six achieved, and for the swords the test is honesty. Strategy, secrecy and deception. Sometimes the card describes being deceived: a lie, a betrayal, someone getting away with something behind your back. Sometimes it describes you, acting strategically or covertly, taking a shortcut, keeping plans to yourself, trying to get what you want without confrontation. It is not always a villain's card. Working independently, thinking cleverly, avoiding a fight you cannot win can all be wise. The question the card raises is whether the secrecy is protecting something legitimate, or hiding something that would not survive being seen.
Dishonesty, secrets, or infidelity in a relationship. A partner who is not telling the whole truth, or feelings you are keeping to yourself. Trust needs examining, gently but honestly, before anything else can be decided.
Office politics, someone taking credit for your work, or strategic manoeuvring. Protect your ideas and documents. A gentler reading is working independently and cleverly to get ahead without open conflict: the quiet job search while still employed, the negotiation where you keep your best card hidden until the end. Neither is dishonest, provided you would be comfortable explaining it later.
Be alert to scams, hidden costs or dishonest dealings. Read the contract, check the credentials, and do not share financial details carelessly. Keep your own records honest too.
No. Something about the situation is not what it seems, and the full truth has not come out.
Guarded, secretive, calculating. Somebody who is holding something back, or who does not fully trust you and is protecting themselves accordingly.
Scheming, hiding, sneaking away. Taking what you need and leaving quietly, telling a half-truth, working alone on something others do not know about.
Be honest with yourself about your motives, and alert to others'. Strategy is fine; deception usually costs more than it wins. If you suspect you are being misled, gather the facts quietly before you confront anyone.
Secrets coming out. The reversed Seven often marks the moment a deception is discovered, a lie is confessed, or someone who was getting away with something is caught. Relief and pain arrive together, and the truth, however uncomfortable, finally has room to breathe. It can also point inward: a conscience catching up, the decision to come clean, to stop sneaking around and face a situation directly. Or it can describe self-deception, the lies we tell ourselves to avoid seeing what is obvious to everyone else. Imposter feelings belong here too, the fear of being found out when you have done nothing wrong. Whatever the case, the card favours honesty now, and a direct approach over a clever one.
A secret revealed, a confession, or the decision to be honest with a partner. Or finally admitting the truth about a relationship to yourself, which is often harder than admitting it to anyone else, and usually has to come first.
Deception at work exposed, a scheme falling apart, or coming clean about a mistake. Standing up openly for what you deserve.

Choose honesty, including the awkward kind. Come clean where you need to, face what has been hidden, and stop spending energy on keeping secrets.
